According to Hindu mythology, Lord Vishnu as the operator of the universe, regulates his four duties residing in four places. Rules from Dwarika worship in Rameshwram, worldly pleasures in Jagannathpuri and rest in Badrinath. These places are called Dham.

Worship of lord Vishnu and his other icons is extremely popular in different parts, such as Shri Rangam, Tirupati, Gaya, Thiruanantpuram, Chitrakoot, and Nathdwara.
   
Goddesses are equally popular as Gods in India. We have mentioned detail information regarding Meenakshi (Madurai), Vaishnodevi, Kanyakumari, Maihar. and Vindhyachal.
